E-Team members have employed a wide range of scientific, technical, and environmental management specialties related to protecting national parks, other protected areas, and a broader range of natural areas and regional environmental challenges.  Many activities take place directly at protected area locations where they are most urgently needed, but others involve collaboration through broader community constituencies and a set of inclusive regional partnerships.

Our assistance capabilities have included five essential elements for preserving threatened protected areas and environmentally sensitive tourism development and promotion programs. All are staple and successful features of several currently successful programs in North America and other parts of the Globe.

·        Technical training programs so that park rangers and other officials can monitor and respond to the steadily encroaching threat of pollution and development.

·        Broader forms of direct assistance to identify and regulate the poisoning effects of pollution on water and land resources.

·        Advise on effective public outreach techniques to build strong support for protected areas and tourism friendly and environmentally conscious development

·        Collaborating on methods that have been used to establish successful “ecotourism” programs, and other ecologically sensitive entrepreneurial opportunities.

·        The creation of inclusive regional partnerships modeled after innovative clean air and protected area programs that several E-Team members have helped establish in North America. Initially, these partnerships were created to identify and deal collectively with many external sources of cross-border transported air pollution that have seriously degraded protected areas of Canada and the United States. Over the years, many of these partnerships have been enlarged to deal with broader environmental and economic development concerns.
